A Romance Novel by USA Today Bestselling Author Priscilla West

Note This is the beginning of Jax & Riley's story. You DO NOT need to read any other books in The Forever Series before enjoying this one.

"I'm gonna enjoy it. Making you sexually frustrated. All that tension. No release."

Everything about him warned me to stay away.

I’d seen bad boys before, but he had it all and more. The rippling muscles covered in tatts, the piercing eyes hiding dark secrets, the silky voice that could make a girl come with just a whisper...

He was exactly the type of guy that would get me in trouble, but when he jumped off the stage, inked skin glistening with sweat and breathed his seductive words into my ear, I couldn’t resist the temptation.

It was supposed to be the best one-night stand of my life, but fate didn’t let it play out that way. Things happened. I got upset. I got hasty. And worst of all, I got reckless.

After that disaster, I thought it was the last I’d see of him. But what I didn’t know was that I’d started something.

Something that could shatter the very thing I had worked so hard to protect.

I should have known back then that the most seductive things in life are also the most dangerous.

4 stars for the novella. Bad rockstar and a not folding female. Well maybe she is folding a little. She wants him, he wants her but she is skeptical as to where he is diving straight in, he makes no qualms about his wants and desires for her, heck he has even given Riley a nickname, pepper. It's shirt but to the point and gets you sucked in so it,leaves you wanting more. So make no mistakes or have any doubts you will want to have the next book ready to read because you will definitely be wanting to learn all about Jax and Riley.

41/2 stars for book one....
After finishing the Novella I had to read the next. It gets you hooked and curious to see what happens with jax and Riley. I wasn't disappointed either. Riley didn't fall down at the sexy mans feet like other females, she made him work for it and it was quite interesting and hot most of the time but I knew she couldn't hold out long and cannot blame her. He is hot after all. I had no idea of the horrific past Jax suffers from. It infuriates me and I love that Riley doesn't let things go so easily. I hate jax felt he was backed In a corner but I'm so happy that he wants her more than hiding his past because she is the one woman you definitely want on your side. The ending of this book is a cliffhanger but one hat makes you respect Riley even more. She is going to protect Jax. She is my hero. Can't wait for the next book.

Reckless edition by Priscilla West Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

I started reading this and just couldn't put it down. First of all, the model that is used is HOT!! so with that being said, the image of Jax in the story was great. Riley is one that you can get to like, then hate, then like again. Now I'm not saying that you will fall in love with the characters right away, cause I didn't, but as I kept on reading, I could understand where and what was going on. That's when you gradually start understanding them. I laughed in part of the story, I loooove Jax's attitude, I loved his story-line. Riley and Jax are great and then to keep you on feet...there is a CLIFF HANGER!!! "shakes my hand at Priscilla" but I love it..now I get to start to read part 2..)

I know not alot will agree, but for me..this was a book I couldn't put down..great job Priscilla!!!!

ENJOY!!!!
First of all, I didn’t expect this to be such an involved story. It was a really nice surprise. For this genre, this was way above average in how good it was. I’m glad I didn’t read too many reviews before – not that there weren’t a lot of great ones – it was just way more rewarding to formulate my own ideas of what these characters looked like, sounded like, and how I ultimately felt about them. I love getting lost in a story, and I did with this one. Great editing as well (only a few issues with sentence structure and grammar – which is ok to make a point about how a character speaks or in setting a scene, but not when it is just laziness).
I do wish there had been a bit more depth to Jax. Every time I thought we were going to get to something deeper with him, we didn’t. I felt like I kept coming right to the brink with his psyche, and then….it just went away. I would have loved to be more involved in what was going on in the therapy he was getting because it didn’t seem like he had that great of a therapist. I would have liked seen that flushed out a bit more. Instead of making him more mysterious or even loveable, it kept a barrier between the reader and him. Riley was fantastic. A little crazy, which I love. I am a firm believer that you can balance a professional life with an adventurous one.
I bought it. I loved it. I want more.
I enjoyed the characters and I love rock star romance. The plot fit all the tropes of a good rocker romance. I loved how the characters interacted but I felt like something was missing.

I hated that it ended on a cliffhanger. And after reading some of the reviews for book 2, I am undecided if I will read the next book. I like the characters in book one, and it seems as if the characters may devolve into ones I don't like in book two. So not sure if I want to spend money that will make me lose my love for Riley and Jax
Damn Priscilla West and her steamy little books that I can't seem to stay away from! I've read about tattoo artists, billionaires, pop stars, MMA fighters, and Hollywood movie producers but this was my first rock star hero and I'm loving it.

Okay, so it's pretty obvious that I would fall in love with a dark haired rock God but what I didn't expect to do was fall in love with the sassy heroine of the story, Riley Hewit. But how can I not when she is constantly is coming up with witty comebacks for Jax's arrogant responses. Like the time he tried to say that she owed him for choosing her over some groupies and she responded with, "Owe you? Owe you what? A slap in the face?" I seriously died. I already love this girls spunk.

I pretty much love everything about Riley Hewitt. She's smart, sexy and has a snazzy comeback for everything. Is there really such a thing as a tour accountant and if so, why aren't I one?! All of the characters are very well developed especially the bands drummer, Chewie. Skye is super cute and very accepting of this new female on board her tour bus. It's so nice to see that she's hospitable and not territorial like most girls we've seen surrounded by Jax.

Now, where to start with Jax?. He's just like any other rock star. Tattooed and sexy as s***, but his leather pants make me wanna barf. I really wish that he had a better stage outfit. And speaking of leather pants brings me to an issue with the storyline. During the last part of the book, Jax finished the show at the outdoor venue and Riley watched him change out of his leather pants and put on some dark denim street clothes. The two then went on a motorcycle ride and happened to run into his long lost father who taunts him for wearing leather pants but according to the story, Jax should be in dark denim jeans....this really bothered me and for this reason, the book receives 4 instead of 5 stars.

One thing I can say is that I was far more impressed with this book than the Wrecked book, but I'm still looking for that perfect balance. The Wrecked book seemed to have too much sex and this one seemed to have not enough. I will admit that there is something about West's books that pull me in but then some thing happens to where I'm not interested enough to continue the series. I really can't explain the reason for it. Maybe they are just too long. Instead of close to 300 pages, they should be narrowed down to 200. They do seem to start out really strong with a boiling intensity between the two love interests but then they hook up around 50 percent and BOOM, there's no more reason to finish the story.

Overall, I enjoyed this read just have I enjoyed other books by West and I am sure I will continue to support her work.
